Hi guys,

I need a few spares for my Auzzie ‘89 HJ75 troopie, luckily for me my parents are in Sydney for a month so I’m looking for a quality Toyota parts supplier in or around Sydney who will post locally. After wheel bearings, handbrake cable, alternator rebuild kit and full set of belts;

Any recommendations ?

Cheers
Matt

I recommend you try "google". For the parts you are after, any Toyota dealer will have access to. If you want used, try "Land Cruiser dismantlers". I think the only used item would be the handbrake cable, but I would still go with a new one.

first search around here for a thread I started on parts for the 75 series
Then go to toyodiy.com and enter your vin so you can look up the factory part numbers
then contact your local toyota dealer and be amazed how much they can get for you
after that I am sure you will find parts suppliers local to you as Germany and France have places that customize the 75 series

Hi Matt,

You could try Terrain Tamer - they do a long line of aftermarket bits for cruisers of any age - http://www.terraintamer.com/ . Alternatively, you parents should be able to walk into any Repco store and if they don't have what you need out the back, they'd be able to order it in very quickly. Either one will be able to supply everything that you're after.

Alternatively, as the others have already suggested, a Toyota dealer will be able to source all new genuine parts for you. Potentially this will be the more expensive route though. Your VIN probably won't work in their computers, but if you can track down a helpful spare parts desk, I'm sure you'll be able to sort out what you need.

Good luck!
Matto :)

Yes, I think that's the details that you forgot to mention in your initial posting...that parts can be available in Europe...for 3x the price...

:)

by the way, I thought my (ex) truck was a 1988, not 1989?

Just to say the service and price at Terrain Tamer was fantastic, I couldn’t recommend them enough. Same day delivery in Sydney.. they have agents in Europe ... I don’t know if its practical to ship from Australia, but I’ll certainly ask the question next time I’m in need of something.

Cheers
Matt
