Recently my monty has been making a grinding noise, I haven't had the time to pinpoint it exactly, however from the drivers seat it is a low rumble/grind that is coming from the rear of the vehicle.
The noise and vibrations are uncannily similar to driving down a gravel road, in fact when I first heard it i did a double take in my rear view mirror to see if I was stopped on a patch.
The noise happens when at low speeds >10 mph in both reverse and drive. Turning does not seem to have an effect. The noise vanishes after you accelerate out of first gear.
Several days prior to this new noise there was a shrill sort of squealing coming from the rear axle increasing with speed, but that has since disappeared. I looked around the wheels and found nothing. It has since stopped, I figured a leaf or stick had gotten caught and had freed it self by the time I inspected the wheels, might be related, thought I'd mention it anyways.
Anyone have any ideas?
