Back in action!!

FRGS
After a long winter of repairs and upgrades, the 110 is back in Action.

The shock mounts have been redesigned and fixed
New brake pads all round
Front prop shaft clearence issues solved
New powdercoating on all external parts
New wheels
New paint job on the roof
New paint on the frame
New lug wrench mount
Tire rack mounting issues solved

These are some pics from our awesome foray to Eastern Colorado over the weekend. No hardcore wheeling, but so desolate that we didn't see another person from Sat morning to Mon afternoon! :Wow1: Did see 2 snakes, 2 horny toads, heard coyotes and a mountain lion. Way cool.

And on Friday I went crazy and got a Nikon D70. Awesome camera and a lot of fun to play with!

cheers

Pray tell, what nice long trail is that pictured in E.CO? Mind sharing your route?

Awesome Graham. I bet it felt good to get the machine freshened and back on the dusty trail.

Seeing a mountain lion is a rare experience. Very cool

I am really looking forward to seeing your machine in person in a few weeks :jump:

This place is a well kept secret. Absolutely stunning with great camp sites and no facilities. It is the Apishapa Wildlife Refuge near Walsenburg.

More pics, because playing with digital pics is fun. :jump:

Scott, unfortunately we just heard the lion, didn't see him. That would have been exciting as we were hiking at the time.

I was really bummed I didn't get to see the 110 at the ExPo Rally last fall....

Seeing pics is almost as good. :jumping:

I found fresh mountain lion scat while on a hike in Yellowstone NP, years ago. I don't think I've ever hiked so quickly back to the truck in my life!

Acutally I never made it to the ExPo rally. Couldn't get off work that weekend. So I think the only person on ExPo who has seen it is Nathan. :p I'll try and make it to more events this year.

2 friends during my school years were killed by mtn lions :(. There is a bridge in Idaho Springs, CO dedicated to someone (Scott Lancaster) with whom I skiied for that very reason.

Looks like you guys had a great time. I'm a more than a bit jealous since Tracy and I were stuck inside all weekend with the Moroccan Bird Flu. :)

BTW- Congrats on the new camera.

I know. I was there and really hoping to see the 110 in person. Sadly Scott wouldn't give me a refund when I found out there'd be no 110 in attendence.

Me too, but I'm saving the receipts....

indeed a b*****n 110 - and what beautiful country, and of course, very nice pics. Hope to see the 110 in person someday (maybe Hole in the Rock).

Good work,

Jeff

B*tchin' LR Defender 110!

How long did it take you to wipe all the bug off from the video you posted!
LOL

Looks great. I am very jealous. Can you share any interior photos?
