Baja 1000 Motorcycle Riders(11-21-08)

A couple of photos taken at Erendira at Mile 515. The first photo I cropped to draw attention to his dust trail. His dust trail is visible quite a distance back evident of how fast he was racing. He was the second bike and racer by us as the first bike was 15 minutes ahead of him. At this location they were really screaming as they had been on a flat mesa for a couple of miles. The second photo was taken at the same location but I had moved closer to the edge of the hill as it drops off the mesa and into Erendira and the photo has not been cropped and the camera was not zoomed(36mm). It is a typical how close can I get to a rider. Way too close but I was on the edge of the track and being night the rider didn't see me and drifted over to me and I shot this instinctively.

Thanks Jeremy, I asked a new friend that I met during the race to join Expo and she took some fabulous photos. She has a great shot of the rider and dust trail from the opposite side of where I shot and it is GREAT!!!. Her name is Trina and a Baja traveler and resident for many years.
