Sorry RobinP, those are turkey vultures warming up, CPG is correct.

I love that vintage pop top van.

Driving at night in Mexico, why that's crazier than boating across Lake Powell at night with no lights...

Nice write-up Ridge, thanks for taking us along. Now get back to work on that house.

I've been to Baja twice with the LocosMocos and I felt like I could name almost every pic location. I take it that you didn't head into San Juanico for some fish tacos at the Scorpion Bay Cantina? Shoot, that whale boat (was used for whale watch trips only most of the whales stop up near GN) meant you were real close!
In Baja, "Under Construction" is the dominant Architectural style.

Ahhh yes, Lake Powell...back when we were young and dumb. Now we're just dumb I guess. :D

Hey, let's go back to Powell this summer.

We drove around San Juanico looking for food but it was too early. I'd like to see pics of that whale watching boat on the water!

Too funny.. One of the first threads I read is Chris', and Matt is replying to it.

Great site.. Matt mentioned it the other day, but linked to the site for a thread about Saline Valley for a future trip we are planning. A follow up to our Panamint trip from a week ago.

....This little campground is called La Playa Armenta. ...

No no no...never camp there. It is not safe. There is, uh, whooping-scarlet-fever-cough-bird-flu there. Ya, that's it, and plague, too, lots of plague. Stay far away, like in Hesperia or something...
