Baja Kayaking - Pinned down by wind

Cool video Greg. I'd like to kayak 'the wall' sometime. Just south of where you were stuck is a small fishcamp in Bahia Guadalupe and you could have gotten help or some food at least there if things got bad. Cool trip amigo. How did you do the shuttle, did you leave a car in BoLA and drive back to Gonzaga? Those winds can be brutal there.

Lo siento amigo! Sounds like you made it eventually, food rationing sucks though...

I'm looking forward to being there in March for some kayaking as well, hopefully the winds are a little more cooperative then.

Thanks! ... Hey Chuck, for the shuttle we had a friend along for the first week - I had my car and my brother had his truck. Then for the paddle we left my subaru (scoprion spring lift, kyb struts and light duty truck tires, yeah!) in Bahia de los Angeles and piled all our gear into the truck and our friend dropped us off in Bahia Gonzaga - so to get home we had to paddle back to my car! :wings:

It's funny about Baja - sometimes you can think 'I'm in the middle of nowhere, no one will ever find me', then out of the blue a fisherman pulls up and offers you food or there's a ramshackle house with shade trees, pigs, and a garden...
