Best light rain jacket?

Hi all. I'm in south India and need some rain gear. The monsoon just kicked in after a few dry weeks, and it's raining really hard now. Soak you to the bone type wet.

I'd like to order some kind of ultra light, breathable hooded rain jacket. The sort of thing you could wear sailing, maybe skiing over a sweater, or in a tropical monsson. Tips?

Precip

+1 on the Marmot Precip. Had mine for 3 years or so and it's still going strong. Not too expensive, either. Very easily three season when coupled with the right layers; maybe four if winters are mild. They've got pants to go with 'em, too.

Barbour Berwick Endurance/Endurance Lightweight,

They make an light version and a heavier one...I use the ultralight for late spring/summer, and the heavier one for fall/winter. A little expensive, but will last a lifetime.

I have had them in FL Hurricanes to over 11K in the Rockies, equally at home.
