BFGoodrich Commercial T/A Traction tires

Anybody ever run these tires? Looks like they should be pretty stout

I'm thinking about going with a 235/85r16 on my 06 Tundra. I just like the benefits of pizza cutter tires and don't care if people think it looks goofy...

They are a very heavy duty tire with very stiff sidewalls, I personally wouldn't run them even on my 3/4 ton diesel. There are several great threads on here discussing tire options in the 235/85r16 size, I run the Cooper AT3 in that size on my truck and love them.

I ran them on my diesel excursion and they were great but that a 9k beast!

I wish they came in 17's. I wish they came in more sizes period.

I've been running a 235/85-16 on my old suburban for many years with no issues. They get traction. They are a popular municipal use tire around here, and are stud able.

I had them on my pickup + camper.

The good? They had THE best ice and snow traction Ive ever experienced WHEN NEW.

The bad? Noisy, and wore out fast. The factory siping was gone in 15k. Total tire life was barely 30K


MUCH happier with the Toyo Open Country AT2 Ive now got.

I've seen them off road only. A bit better than a pure street tire but nothing like an AT.

Also no reason to go pizza cutter. Wider tires offer better vehicle stability.

Wide tires suck. I am on two tracks and dirt road for 20,000+ miles a year and I cannot stand a wide tire. I float around on muddy roads and tear stuff up and I get mud all over everything. A narrow tire is a much better tool for me. A 265/75 is as wide as I want to go

More stability you say? I say prove it, and don't just pull something out of the air.
