Excelsior!
Folks, for the SoCal "Meet and Greet" we'll need to look at a date that fits for maybe half or more of the twenty-ish folks who expressed interest. We can look at picking one day for everyone to try for and others can camp out on both days if it works for them. I'd say make Saturday the full day and Sunday is for those who will stay overnight.

I'm going to try setting up a poll.....

Voted.

We need to figure out what trail too. Something like John Bull, we have to make sure EVERYONE can run and not damage their rig. Something like Gold Mtn, Onyx Summit we wouldn't have to worry. Im up for anything. I've ran every trail up their twice-three times.

Gold Mountain is a good one as the Rock Garden at the top can be bypassed and the trail leading up to it is fun and challenging for lots of vehicles. Dunno about John Bull as I really don't want any body scrapes or dents. Big Bear does have lots of trail options though and we'd want to pick a couple for a group run.

Also we should decide on communications: CB, FRS, Ham Radio

Gold mtn sounds fine for me. Communications should probably the most common and most affordable of all devices. CB. People can also borrow handhelds if need be or 2 way radios.

The only weekend that works for me is the 19th and 20th. Already have a family vacation planned for Memorial Day weekend.

19th and 20th here. Like I said before (General Disscusison)We have a cabin in the Boulder Bay Area with a few spots to park tents or trailers and such if anyone in interested. If so let me know so I can make the arangments.

19th and 20th look the best. I may not be able to get there untill Sat. night for the evening festivities.:camping:

I wish I could come but I'll be leaving to Jamaica on Monday and consequently gotta save money for that. Hopefully though I can go on a run with you guys during summer. Plus I am definitely going to Baja 500 to spectate and possibly help out my friend, so perhaps I'll see some of you there. Have fun in big bear for me!

man, none of these weekends look good for me. But whatever weekend it falls on - looks like the 19th-20th - I'm going to shoot for the stars and try to go :REOutShootinghunter

Just thinking out loud.

How about we start it off by meeting at the Big Bear Discovery Center. Lots of parking and for all whom need to get adventure passes, maps a such that is the place to get them.

I'll throw out a time of anyware between 9 & 10:00.

Yes, No, Maybe So?????
