Bike value question

Have the opportunity to pick up a 2003 KLR 650 with less than 8000miles. How much is it worth to you guys, and what relative value will it hold until Christmas. Looks like it's in great shape.

Looking to ride, and sell before I move across the pond in Jan.

$2500 lowend, $3500 on the highend.

Value shouldn't move too much, since Christmas is right around the corner.

I don't think you can say $2500 is a low end on a gen 1 KLR. I've seen them under $1000. But if it is well maintained and in good shape, I could see 2-2500 as a low end. I'm also assuming it is a relatively stock motorcycle. Decent luggage/racks might bring the price up a bit. (A milk crate doesn't count).

I think $1900 would be a good price for a 2003 KLR in good shape. (There's currently first gen KLR 650s in the Atlanta/Macon Craigslists for $2000 and $2400). I would think most early KLRs will be priced within a few hundred dollars, so I would consider condition/maintenance before price.

yep...I just did a quickie look on Cycle Trader (BTW). Seems what the asking price is...whether or not they are getting that is another story.
