Brakes for 1997 E250

I did a search, hope this isn't redundant. The drivers side caliper on my van is not releasing. I was going to have a shop do new calipers pads and turn the rotors. They want to charge me 3 times what I can do it for retail. Where might I find an exploded diagram/pictures so I know what Im getting into? Im just cheap and don't want to buy the manual. Ive only done brakes on small cars and such, is this a simple fix or is there more to it that Im missing? Any and all help would be great.

Just buy new rotors - they are cheap - and do one side at a time so you have the other for reference.

When you say the caliper is not "releasing" do you mean that it is hanging up on the slide pins? Clean them and lube them...

Rather simple on the vans, just a small size difference in hardware. Lol
go for it, DIY

Slide pins wear and change shape and they're easily and inexpensively replaced. They should always be lubricated sparingly with silicone caliper grease. I buy it at O'Reilly's but I'm sure other parts stores carry it. Comes in little bottles, maybe 8-12 oz, made by CRC.

Thanx guys, I had no idea about the slide pins. Ill try that first. It would be awesome if that's all it is. That's why I ask here first.
