BlueRibbon Coalition Board of Directors Online Auction!
BRC is excited to launch this brand new online auction for our trails and riding areas. This is a tremendous addition to our fund raising efforts initiated by our Board of Directors. This is the place to really help BlueRibbon and its entire mission as the champions of responsible multiple-use recreation.
The plan is straight forward: businesses, individuals and members send in items that will help us raise money, and we put them on an eBay type auction that provides all the proceeds to BlueRibbon Coalition. The auction officially launches online April 30, 2009. In the meantime, we want to fill the office store room with goodies, swag, gift certificates, and products that will showcase business partners and friends. Each item will help raise money to support BRC and all its efforts around the nation.
The key is you – we ask that you dig through your storage sheds, garages, stock shelves and back lots to find items to donate (new and unused unless it has historical value). Auction items can range from gift certificates, business discounts, small goodies, and new products, to very large treasures! We would like to keep our focus mostly off-pavement recreation related, any activity we are part of, but don’t let that stop you from finding something that might raise funds for us. If it has to do with backcountry, off-pavement, waterways, snow sports, trails and riding areas, it is RIGHT for this auction. This is YOUR chance to really help BlueRibbon.
Shipping and Handling: Small items and easily shipped donations can be sent right to our home office, attention Travis. Large items (machines, winches, heavy stuff) would be fine stored with you until we’re ready to ship it to the lucky winner. Then we'll "drop ship" from your garage (or where ever the item is temporarily stored), or "will call," shall we say. This will save BRC from having to double ship something large. If we do have drop ship type items, we'll be sure to get pictures and a write-up from you for Travis as part of the online post.
Exposure: Business products will obviously get some huge national exposure out of this joint venture. BRC plans to showcase our donors in our magazine as well as on our website, with additional mentions in articles and web posts. This will be a win-win for all of us, as well as for our access to our recreational trails, waterways and backcountry.
