You've got all the hilarious stuff today. PA's and fire pits.

I seemed to have scored this beautiful washing machine basin from BMAN some time ago:

Not nearly as classy as that WEBER unit

Yep, it's one of those days, here at work. ZZ zz zz ZZ zzz.

Just thought it was a different alternative that i hadn't seen before.

We use wash tub fire pits too in our group. Super common anymore.

I have a washtub pit in my backyard.

I'd like this highly packable but overpriced model from Snow Peak

I never considered a broken washing machine worth anything, very cool.
Pretty common in the SoCA deserts, particularly with the sand crowd. Funny how things like that are regional. I'd assumed that they were known all over.

Nope, pretty much everywhere else gets enough rain to wash away chared marks so it is just a dig and fill opperation. When I fist started going to Borrego I was shocked at all the old fires you can see. 30+ years of campfires can easily be found under about two inches of sand. Sad. If anyone in the rest of the country saw you with a washtub basin, they would think you have gone off the deep end.

I have recently been using a Pit2Go www.pit2go.com
It worked well on it's maiden voyage to Mojave Road, was easy to set up and more importantly, easy to clean.

Ditto the Pit2Go recommendation. I've been very pleased with mine. The whole thing folds down to a compact, flat 16" x 20" x 3.5".

I've had the pit to go for a number of years, it works well, but is a little heavy for light weight travel.

When I go wheel'n with a group we always find an existing fire ring to use and end up cleaning up all the old burned beer bottles and cans. When i go out by myself, I take a metal garbage can lid. I find 3-4 rocks to prop it on, it works great for up to wrist size wood. I can put out the fire with 1 liter of water, spread the ashes and leave hardly a trace. The can lid also bungees very nicely to my rear mounted spare.
