Maintenance:
Head Gasket Replaced @ 215K miles by ACC
- All hoses were replaced at this time as well as the addition of a new radiator
- New intake plenum, PHH, High pressure PS hose
- New Oil Pan Arch Seal
- FYI the head gasket blew originally @ about 178K miles while I was deployed and long story short was repaired by a shop that suffice it to say may have been in over their head.
Front Axle Rebuild @ 215K miles by ACC
- L inner axle seal I fear is letting loose as it's starting to weep a little since the truck is not being daily driven now
All fluids have been changed at recommended intervals using Mobil 1 Synthetic oil and Lucas gear oil
The BAD:
- Paint is in generally good condition, hood was beginning to fade so I Plastidipped the center portion. Some people hate this but it is what it is. Some minor scratches but NO RUST
- Antenna mast like on many 80 Series doesn't work. I never got around to replacing the motor and eventually the antenna snapped off in the woods
- Rear Locker is inoperable currently. I was an idiot when I first got the truck and cut the exhaust off behind the muffler. It burned through the wiring and I had it rewired by ACC, but I think since it went so long without being used it's merely stuck
Having owned the vehicle for 10 years I may be forgetting small details. All questions will be answered and any pic requests honored.
