Cad software recommendation

Quick report back after sporadic use for a few months. I highly recommend Fusion 360. It did take a while to get the hang of the fundamental concepts of parametric CAD designing, but there are helpful youtube resources (check out Lars Chrisensen's channel which I find super helpful). There is a free licence for startup businesses and hobby users, which is fantastic for me and I guess makes sense to them because I share my F360 files with suppliers who may then be encouraged to buy to use.

I have been using sketchup free on-line and am quite pleased with the results. It is not obviously intuitive but if you spend just a few minutes going through the online video tutorials its very easy to pick up and get quick results.

I use autodesk inventor. Learned it in 2002 while at school. You can get a private use license from austodesk for free. So far I've been able to remember most everything over the years.
