Camera snob takes to mobile photography

Thanks for the reference, haven. The author talks at length about add-on photo apps, and notes the built in camera app leaves much to be desired (at least in iOS).

I've tried to take "decent" photos on my iPhone 4S and the best results I can get with the stock app are so far behind even my old point-and-shoot, a Canon Powershot SD870is, it's not close. I'll take a look a Diallo's app recommendations in detail -- some of the examples he shows in the article are super. Replacing my real cameras isn't a priority but adding iPhone capability would be very nice.

My cell is my point and shoot. For what I would use a point and shoot for I am more than comfortable with the output of my phone.
