camper and a jeep

My wife and I are moving back to Montana. In doing this we will no longer be living in out camp trailer. Current we set at 8k in the trailer. I tow this with my 5.4 powerd superduty. We have talked about all the options but at the end.of yhe day we need a slide in camper. With out going motorhomes we need to haul quads tow my jeep or bolth. Jeep and trailer are right at 6k quads would put us 7k.

So with a slide in camper and a jeep how bad of an idea is this. I have a crew cab short box 5.4 auto with 35s 3:73 gears I do plan a 4.56 or 4.88 swap

a friend of mine did a slide in camper on a 5th wheel trailer and put has jeep on the back ..very cool setup ..i dont have a picture of it

I have seen the set up many times dosent work for what I have to do. My jeep is not short I run a 1979 wagoneer

You're going to need more truck. At the end of the day, if you have to ask peers to assure you that your marginal truck will work for the job rather than knowing that it will, you're doing the wrong thing. Get a one ton dally and the comfortable traveling. You're obviously not using the tow rig to get to crazy places since you have the jeep, so a dually won't be a liability.

Trucks of every type are a dime a dozen. Swap what you have for what you need and move on safely.
