Camping tables

I just spent a half hour typing something up then I deleted it by mistake.
I purchaced a GSI Roll Top 32 about two camping trips ago and the plastic groumets keep falling out.

Time for an exchange at the Sports Chalet which they have agreed to.

They have a Kelty gold anodized, and a Coleman with seperate benches that fit in the base, both about $100.

any input

I've never used the roll ups, I have a folding plastic table from Lifetime tables
DataVault.aspx

Packs away nicely opens up with enough space to cook on and sit at other end to eat, adjustable height legs. Cost about $35.00 at Wal-Mart

My plastic tabs are also always falling out. I also have an original Roll-a-Table but they cost more and are a little more time consuming to set up. I also have a table like Kai38 but with a fold out wire mesh deal on the end for setting your stove on (Camping World). My Campaign Furniture table should arrive this week, but it may be too nice and pricey to take camping.

Last night I ordered a Slumberjack Stowaway Camp Table for $59 from the Clymb. I saw post here where a guy had positive things to say about this table and figured since it is 50% off retail I would give it a try. This is my first order with them so we shall see how it goes.

Stowaway Camp Table

• Carry Bag included to maximize the convenience of transport and storage

• Dimensions: 47"" x 27"" x 27""

I've owned a couple different aluminum slat roll tops and they just didn't do it for me. Same problem as the OP complained about in addition to have had issues with the plastic connectors on the slat top and the frame not being flexible enough to easily snap together/come back apart in anything less than about 80-degrees ;)

I found a SnowPeak large single action table that was new but with a damaged top for about 1/6th the price of new and I be loving it.

Camping Tables

I have owned a few tables of different materials & designs... This has collectively been the best all around table due to stability, size, weight, cleaning and adjustability along with an internal locking mechanism and hand strap. As all would agree, it's a personal thing..... For me it was the adjustability. The table folds-in-half for easy transport and storage, and adjusts to 24", 29" and 36". Prices seem to vary from $34 - $36.

PS: Makes a great Margarita BAR.......:sombrero:

Today's SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As with everything else I have a story to go with it. My wife has a Honda CRV. The storage area under the back instead of being covered by a piece of Masonite like many small cars has a nice little card/picnic/tailgating table. I been wanting a couple of these for camping tables. Nice and strong and a good size. Besides I like salvage stuff instead of spending $60 bucks on a new fancy roll up table.

So anyway I've been calling junkyards and hadn't found one yet. I was on my way to the land fill to dump some waste oil and junk today. On the way I passed a local junk yard I hadn't called and pulled in. I asked about a CRV and he said they had one just up the hill go check it out. It was in great shape and had a table so I grabbed it. I told the man I was on my way to the land fill and would they be interested in any of the scrap in my trailer. He walks out and says that it was crazy to just give scrap away. He looked in the trailer and said "I'll take the broken car seat, the old push mower and those couple of pieces of steel scrap. You take that table and have a great weekend!" SCORE! I got my table for trash.

It's roughly 31"x27"x25" tall and very sturdy. Once I took off the latch it is only about an inch thick folded up.

The best part is how it fits in the Trooper with the back seat up and the tool box in place.

I've got a lead on another one that I intend to check on this week. 1 for cooking on and 1 for eating at.

Found another one today at another boneyard. Had to give $20 for this one. Now I have 2 and I'm set. I like cheap and useful.

I scored one of the Coleman tables with two benches and I love it.. It is a little tricky to fold up but once I figured out the trick it's pretty easy. I like it mainly because the seats fold up and protect the table top from scratches etc. The table is very sturdy. 2 minutes to set up and 2 minutes to stow away.

If you have space to transport I would recommend it
