Cb radio in 100 series

Where are people putting these in a 100 series? Not too much room, I was going to instal one in the center console on the side, has anyone done this? What all do I need? Can I wire it strait to the battery?

If anyone has any pictures of where they run cables through the fire wall it would be much appreciated! I'm going to use the cigarette lighter to power the cb

I had one wired in but have switched to : Midland 75 and a wilson whip. I much prefer the flexibility of the Midland for trail riding.

I also use the Midland 75, but with 4ft Firefly and Firestik stainless mount. With a little bit of tweaking, I was able to use the mount along the rear hatch without having to drill any holes.

Cobra 75wx fits. It's all contained in the handheld portion.

I just ordered the Midland b/c I could not fit my full sized unit anywhere. Will post pictures once I get it installed. I already have the antenna mounted, 4' firestik with labrak mount.

Does anyone have any pictures of where they went through the fire wall? Can't seem to find a good spot, to route the antenna cable into the engine bay

In all truth I'd simply do the HAM course and test. I like CB, but nothing like having all the capabilities of a HAM unit. Go for it... :)

I punched a hole in the rubber on the PS firewall then filled it with some foam insulation after I ran the wires.

Mine's in the upper part of the center console. Antenna wire runs up through the center console.
Ham radio has the detachable face plate, with the body and speaker mounted under the dash of the passenger side. I'm running labrak antenna mounts for both ham and cb whips.
