So my 2002 disco II does not have the CDL, but I recently found out the transfer case has been replaced so there is maybe a chance that it was replaced with one it in. My question is where do I look to find out if it has it or not? If in fact it does have it how hard is it to hook up and how much? If it does not have it how much should one expect to pay for a transfer case with it already on it and is it even worth it?

If you reach up on top of the DS front of the case, you'll be able to feel a short nipple that takes a 10mm wrench. If not, it's flat.
