Guys check out this small vid made by YV5OF on his mobile station, he installed a Chameleon V1 antenna on his Mitsubishi Montero and check out some of the results. The antenna seems very promising.

Just keep in mind good SWR does not mean a good antenna. Real world comparative test will tell you if the antenna really is good.
I have looked at the chameleonantena and I am skeptical how well they work and would love to hear real reports on them.
They have several versions but most look way to short to be very good on HF..

As someone who runs a 12ft and some times 16ft whip to get a "good" HF signal out, I find it hard to believe some little 4ft antenna will work 80-10m

Gary, the antenna in the video is the V1 is which is 8’4”. The V2 is a shorter version (4'2"). But all in all I agree with you about being somewhat skeptical about the efficiency of short HF antennas. I've just sold my ATAS and I must say it was not all bad neither all good, the antenna works well, but in the end I simply needed more. I was looking for a new antenna and the chameleon seems very nice. To me the best mobile antenna out there is a HI-Q, but i got to get the $$$ together given the substantial investment.
