Chevy AWD Van A-Pillar Gauge Pod

Has anyone seen one?

I'm thinking I'd like a tach and a tranny temp gauge.
I looked at several sites today and all they had was pods for the pick-ups.
Can anyone confirm if the pick-up pod will fit in a van?

I looked pretty extensively and wasn't able to find one. I was looking for one to mount my bullydog gauge tuner, which has a tachometer, trans temp, and a lot more. The tuner also allowed me to correct the speedometer for larger tires. The gauge monitor has an adapter to fit standard round gauge pods. I ended up using a universal flat mount gauge mount off the top of the dash right in front of the pillar. I am pretty happy with it, I wish the display was a little larger.

I believe he was looking for an Express van.

Doh! Expo needs a face-palm emoji.

Yes, of course, my bad. Kevin, hopefully you can find a friendly local retailer who will let you walk a couple of pods out to the parking lot for experimentation...

I have been wondering the same thing......I haven't found a pillar gauge that really works with the van. The problem with the truck units is the angle of the windshield is different than the van. There are a few universal units that you can heat with a heat gun and form to your pillar but they always look funny.

I have considered using some fleece and MDF and making my own like they do for sub boxes:

But that's a project way way down the pipeline for me!

I'm kind of digging that.
I hadn't even considered one of those, but they seem to have it all.
Do the just plug into the OBDII port?

According to the Q&A, It sounds like it's OBDII port plus a "power signal" wire so it shuts down when the engine isn't running. (This is a little odd to me and seems it could be smarter - my ScangaugeII goes into sleep mode pretty well when the engine isn't running - maybe this thing uses a lot more power?)

Incidentally, I totally understand the desire for an analog gauge, since it's much easier for quick-reference checks, but if digital information will suffice, then I can highly recommend the Scangauge line. I realized I don't have a photo with the headliner put back, but here's a quick shot of how I mounted mine on a bracket tight up to the roofline above the rear-view mirror:

Don't know if it'll help any, but I've made guage housings out of black ABS drain pipe. The small guages fit snugly into it. Smaller Tachs are harder to find, but I've seen them. I have a larger tach and a Vacuum guage mounted beside it in a 2.5"ish length of pipe.

Yes, plug and play. It probably isn't the greatest tuner I have used, but it does everything I wanted. I could only find two tuners for our vans (custom tunes aside). The screen allows you to monitor four things. I usually display RPMs, Trans temp, battery voltage, and MPG. The tach can be displayed both digitally and as an analog looking gauge.
