ok guys, I need your help
.
I need pics of chevy express vans and a little info on the front end conversion, johnny5 has done the most recent conversion and I love his build, but I am looking for other ideas as well before I order a set of brackets from a member for the ford axle conversion
.
are you guys running ford, chevy, dodge axles?????
what t case do you guys like????
if you had to do it again what would you change???
.
I am getting ready to get another chevy express chassis to work on over the winter to do the conversion the swap chassis out when I am done with this project
.

Are you set on a solid axle conversion? If so, I think Ford axle is your best/only choice.

If you're open to IFS, then I'd strongly recommend that you find an AWD van and just swap the transfer case to a 2-speed full-time 4x4 unit. Been done more than once with the Express/Savanna platform and literally dozens of times on the little-siblings (Astro/Safari).

The beauty of the IFS swap is that its the simplest & cheapest. Converting my Astro cost me about $500, and that was buying a pre-done "kit" from someone going back to stock. I think the guy I bought it from paid about half that originally.
