Does anyone have any first hand experience with the new Chevy / International 5500's?
Currently have a Dodge 5500. Was considering a new truck under the camper. Chevy sure looks like the way to go for easy maintenance. Always liked the Allison transmission.
Worried about 2 things:
1. Exhaust brake - I'm 18,500lbs truck/camper plus small trailer. The dodge exhaust brake is fantastic I almost never need to brake.
2. Ride quality - installed some custom rear springs and king shocks, but the ride of the dodge was pretty good stock. I have heard the Chevy rides poorly.
Would love to hear what everyone thinks of the Chevy idea.
