Chevy Kodiak Overlander in Hood River, Oregon

This thing has been parked outside my office in Hood River, Oregon for maybe two weeks. Seems well built and well used. They are asking $100,000.

That seems like a steal in today's overpriced, I mean overland culture.

Looks like a commercial "reefer box" modification / conversion. I looked at nice Reefers, 16ft, removed from salvage commercial trucks in the area of $2500 in Fresno California. The reefer was for cold transportation. Usually had a cooler unit on the front. At that price the cooler unit was harvested for parts. They make a reasonable basis for a expedition box due to the insulation, strong roof and construction.

When I evaluated the one for sale, I realized they were too high. I estimated 13 ft on a 4x4 chassis.

I’ve toured this rig and know Max. It’s awesome and well built. This rig has already done the panamerican once. It inspired our build.

If you guys like Kodiaks with boxes on the back, I have a couple that I would love to get rid of, setup for remote drone operations (back when you needed a huge ground station to do that kind of work).

Includes gensets, air compressors, pass-thru, leveling jacks, etc.
