SOLD.
1998 Land Rover Discovery LE Anniversary Edition in very good condition. The body and paint are in great shape with only a few minor scrapes and dings. The interior is also in good condition with normal wear to the rear seat and carpet. The front seats are bit more worn and covered with color matching Cabelas Trail Gear seat covers which look great. All power options are in working order including seats, locks (including remote), sunroof (all 3), heat and air conditioning.
There is currently 160,000 miles on the vehicle and within the past year & 5000 miles the following work has been completed:
Complete head gasket replacement head rebuild to include new gaskets, valves, seals and surfacing.
New water pump, thermostat, temperature sensor and fan clutch
New spark plugs and wires
New oil cooler lines
New tie rod ends, steering box adjustment, and front end alignment
PA inspection and emissions in May of this year and passed easily.
The Rover is now riding on 2” Terrafirma Springs and shocks with a 1” aluminum spring spacer up front to compensate for the front winch bumper and Warn xd9000i winch. The tires are BF Goodrich Mud Terrain KM2 245/75-16 with less than 5000 miles on them. The matching spare has never been used.
The only known minor issues are that the ABS light is on which is common. It is most likely a loose or faulty sensor at the wheel. Currently, the anti-lock braking will not activate which I prefer. Also, the intermittent wiper functions sticks on occasion. The low & high settings work fine.
This is a clean, well maintained Land Rover with many of the normal issues with these vehicles fixed or upgraded. I wouldn't hesitate to drive anywhere. Save yourself time and money on an already built Discovery. More information and pictures upon request. I would be happy to contact any interested buyers by phone to discuss in more vehicle. In person inspections are welcomed and encouraged.
