Colorado: Bison Peak

A couple of photos from a hike yesterday up to Bison Peak in the Lost Creek Wilderness area.

11.8 miles round trip, 3700' of elevation gain up to 12,400'.

If it's been there since 1894, I'm sure several people have tried to mess with it, but it still seems to be there. As a geologist years ago they were handy so you knew were on the right page of your map, so to say. And lately, I've calibrated GPS units from them.
