Combo grill stoves

First time poster here.

Spent some time last night looking at the wealth of information. Thanks to all !

With interest the thread on the Coleman grill/stove unit. What I understood is that the Coleman may not be the best unit for boiling a pot of water. With soups/pasta etc on my menu. The ability to boil a 2 quart pot of water is important.

Any other units you might suggest ? Primus makes one as do several others.

Called Partner but a grill is not in the works at this time.

If any of the other makes of combo units is not going to do what I want. Any thoughts on a fold up 2 burner like the Coleman Red folder ?

Just saw this http://brunton.com/product.php?id=617on Brunton's site a few days ago. I use their Gannet grill, and a Brinkmann 2 burner, and have been thinking of combining the 2. Don't know that I will, as I like having the flexibility. The Brunton runs propane, OR butane. Kind of a plus I guess.

I think the complaint with the coleman is boiling a pot of water on the grill side.

It works excellent on the burner side, we boiled water for lots of meals.

We used ours everyday in Alaska and think it is a great value. Always started, cooked hot, cleans up nice. My only complaint is that it is not as compact with the big goofy dials on front.

You can add on a removable grill to the 2 and 3 burner Camp Chef gas stoves. I know a few boy scout groups that use these. Plenty powerful.
