Condensation inside the RTT

What are you guys doing in terms of preventing condensation inside your tent in cold and wet conditions?
I have been out in heavy rain for the last two days in temperatures around the freezing point.(packing up the ARB tent twice to move to next campspot)
Not only did I get a puddle under the mattress (i expected that...) but big drops of water forming in the ceiling and side walls.

I'm aware that this is a common issue with single wall tents and therefore most tents have an inner tent.
Question: why don't our RTT don't have an inner tent?

I found a German manufacturer that offers just that! http://www.campwerk.de/de/produkte/dachzelt (scroll down) The price is 175 euros...

What's your thought on that? Any other solution?

Cheers

Sorry I don't have a solution for your immediate problem but I know you can get those anti condensation mats to go under your mattress. That might help keep your bedding dry until you get home to dry out your set up. I've yet to spend rainy nights and days in my RTT but it gets pretty toasty in there with a Mr Buddy, you could always crank that up to try and get some humidity out of it before sleeping. I know it won't dry it completely but its worth a try.

I camp quite a bit in similar conditions and haven't had much, if any, condensation in my hard shell tent (Maggiolina) or in my previous soft tent (Eeziawn). I leave the windows slightly unzipped up top now but the eeziawn had nice air vents built in.

I think you need more cross-flow of air by slightly opening a window on each end.

Have fun out there.

I have had condensation under the mattress, but never on the walls. I always keep at least 3 of the 4 windows open at all times even if it's raining. I would believe that it would really condensate inside a tent if it was sealed up.
