Hello, I am a longtime follower but a new member. I have been building my own camp trailers for years now and I am wondering if there is anyone that has converted a US Forestry Service Hotshot crew truck into an overlander/RV? I am looking for ideas, suggestions, and/or other thoughts.

I think pop top overland helped someone do a helitack rig, that I saw on IG.
I think it would be awesome to do a crew haul. I just wouldn’t want to buy diesel or pay the mechanic. They get fairly well maintained but absolutely hammered on. They’re way more nimble than they look an get a lot of places considering only 2 wheel drive.
