It does look to be in amazing condition.

Very sweet truck. Another $5k though before I would really enjoy it. Wheels, tires, lift, front locker, turbo...geez maybe more than $5k!

$20k is super steep price but it is mint. And for that kind of coin, me personally I would want left hand drive.

Hope it finds a good home, very awesome truck and one of the best platforms ever made for overland travel.

And since these just became available to import, I suspect we will see more coming in, also high priced. Another very nice JDM low mile Y60 Safari diesel was for sale in Colorado a few months back. Price tag was also close to $20k.

Cheers

That's pretty awesome! Id get if I had the money to blow.

Unfortunately I've heard that with the Y60s, it's very hard and expensive to find parts in the US.

Very nice shape, I like the Safari High Top, would feel like a cathedral inside with all that headroom

one of my customers has one of these. the glove compartment is actually a drink cooler!
20,000 for a 28 year old vehicle is a little much no matter how good it is.

Sums up exactly how I feel, especially one like this where it would likely be subjected to less than stellar conditions most of the remainder of its life.

Patrols make me weak in the knees, but that's too steep for my liking. I really would love one though. I actually kinda like the RHD. It's wacky for over here. I like wacky.

I've driven a RHD car before, and I didn't have much of a problem with it.

I exchanged a few emails with the guy. Seems it may have sold today. I put a link in the for sale section so who knows, maybe somebody here on ExPo bought it!

For me, RHD is a downer. I have owned several RHD trucks and while not a big deal to drive, if spending coin north of $10k, it has got to be LHD.

Trucks with this low miles and this clean are rare, even in Japan. So I think trucks like this one will always demand a premium price.

I can tell you guys, I saw nice early 2000's Patrols in Panama a lot. That is the Y61 models. A lot of them have the TD42T, factory turbo. While there I once saw a 2003ish Y61 Patrol pickup, original bed on it which you don't see in countries like Australia much. TD42T and 5spd. Under 100k miles. The price tag was around $15k. Oh and they are LHD. Looking around countries like Australia for a truck like that, they are often $30k or more!

I have seen them with coolers all the way back in the 3rd row seating. Side compartment for the 3rd row I rode in once in Colombia had a cooler back there.

To me, age has nothing to do with the value of the truck. Some newer vehicles to me are not worth $100 while some old school ones are priceless.

Cheers
