Cruise control on Step van.

Hello,

I am converting an 2006 Ford Utilimaster Cargo Van 5.4 V8 Gasoline into a stealth motorhome and would like to add a cruise control to it. So far I've seen many info but not sure yet exactly what I need. Apparently I will need these four parts, am I correct?

Brake master cylinder with cruise control
Clock spring with cruise control
Sterling wheel with cruise control
Cruise control cut out switch

It is a difficult installation? Any special tools required?
I'm not bad into mechanics and assembling stuff but never done this before.

Thanks in advance!

I'm not too sure about going with a factory option, assuming its similar to some Ford chassis there are parts you can get, but then the modules would require reprogramming.

On older vehicles with a throttle linkage it was not too bad, just a brake switch, wire up a vss sensor, mount up a throttle servo, and wire it up.

You may want to give the following company a call and see if the step van is similar to other Ford platforms or if they could put together something for you application.
