Custom Built Off-road trailer.

This trailer is Ford Ranger bed with a modified suspension. I got it to go behind the Jeep and used it to tow behind my 3/4 Ton Suburban all over the US and Mexico. It has been built to take down the roughest roads in Baja and it handles them easily.
First, the suspension. The leaf springs are out of a Ford Expedition . That not only lifted frame up several inches to increase ground clearance , it also increased payload as well and actually has better articulation! In addition the shocks are actually coil-overs to further increase stability. Since the Ranger has a pretty strong and reasonably light frame it made sense to just cut and weld the existing frame rails to shape and weld in a coupler. DONT LET THE CRUDITY OF THIS BUILD FOOL YOU! Fully loaded to the roof it tows like a dream at 75 mph with more weight than my Jeep could tow. (3/4 Ton Suburban) while I dont know the weight of the trailer it is easily moved around the yard by hand. (guessing less than 400 lbs) I have even towed it behind my Subaru Crosstrek with ease; though the trailer will go way more places than the Crosstrek can handle.
It Does not leak! Even in the worst rain everything stays dry and secure inside.
Wheels are 15 inch and the tires are good. bolt pattern is the same as TJ and LJ Wrangler
This is just a solid trailer to carry your gear wherever your rig can run. IT IS QUITE TALL however. sitting level the coupler sets 24 inches off the ground. In the pics you can see that even my Suburban with over-sized tires is too short. While it is not the prettiest or cleanest trailer, it is very well built; and that is really the point of a trailer you are going to be beating up on rough trails and roads. one can easily find truck bed trailers for less than a grand, but nothing which has been built like this. Just take it for a tow and you will be convinced.
There is only mild surface rust in places and the only real dent is evident in the first picture. All lights work.
I think that $1500 Cash is a fair price to ask. If you disagree then feel free to shoot me an offer. PM me and I will respond.
