CVT batwing 2m awning

havent but i like it. similar to the foxwing from rhino rack except you may find the walls here for the 2m version. their 2m version is noticeably lacking accessories.

Interested in what you have to say about it. I saw the two adventure one on eBay but this may be worth it if the walls are of quality.

I'll be putting it on this weekend. I'll take several photos, possibly make a video of opening it up and putting the walls on.

Mine didn't come with any hardware except for a couple stainless steel "L" brackets, no bolts or anything to attach the brackets. Not sure if that is how it's supposed to be or not, but I do know that you have to find brackets or make the ones supplied work with whatever rack you have.

I'm looking forward to hearing how durable you think it will be.

If it's anything like the regular awning: I used stainless steel hose clamps to attach the L brackets to my load bars.

I'm really happy with my CVT rooftop tent, so I don't really forsee being disappointed with this awning, but I suppose anything is a possibility.

Glad others are interested. I'm going to be pulling the trigger on either the batwing or this one. I'm stoked on impressions of the side walls, and your impressions!

Stay Dirty,
If you get it set up and can by chance take a pole height measurement - I would appreciate it.

I have all pro expo leafs and a mid rise camper on my Tacoma so attached to the rack I'm trying to figure if the walls would be long enough.

Thank you- congrats on the new awning and room.

I'm wondering if they'll be long enough myself, my rack bar that it will be mounted to is right at about 7 foot. The annex on the the rooftop tent is just barely long enough, I'm concerned when I go up to 37's from my current 35's that the annex won't touch the ground like it should.... so I'm doubting the awning walls will either. Guess we'll all find out on Saturday.

Azbackcountry: The poles are adjustable (probably knew that...), but the max usable height is 80" measured from the ground to the top of the pole (there is about a 2 1/2" "spike" on top of the pole that the awning support poles use, so I guess total max pole length is technically 82 1/2"
I took pictures (none with walls installed) but I need to pull them from the camera and uploaded to photobucket to post.

This looks nice man! I would be very appreciative if when you get the awning walls on, to see if you can open the rear glass, and the tail gate. I've a 4 door, and am really looking for an option I can cook under the awning with the walls on in snowy conditions.

Oh, and more photos are always welcome :wings:

Thanks!
