D700 for $1,469.00? Am I not reading it right?

A D700 with lens for $1,469.00?!?! Something is wrong with this, but I can't figure out what it might be.

I only ever buy from B&H as I trust them, so I am taking this with a grain of salt.

It doesn't seem right. Any thoughts?

I was suckered by one of the New York camera retailers several years ago. I agree with you, B&H is a great store to do business with.

Well that answers my question. I had never heard of them before so I had kind of figured it was too good to be true. Those reviews are pretty scary. They are clearly scammers. Oh well.

I found out the hard way one time that ordering from any one other than B&H or Adarama will cause major problems

We were planning to leave on a trip and I had ordered a new underwater housing specifically for this trip. Some place in New York was advertising the best price, so I ordered it from them.

Two days before the scheduled leave date, we still hadnt received it. When I called, they gave me some story that it was on back order and would be six weeks till it came in.

I ended up having to order it from B&H and pay a small fortune for overnight service to have it in time for the trip.

Never again have I ordered any gear except from B&H
