Dana 60 axle seals

I'm rebuilding the Dana 60 for my van and I broke the plastic cones inside the axle shafts when I was pounding out the inner seals. Oops! Are those just axle shaft guides, and not critical, or did I really bone myself? What, if anything, should I do to remedy the situation? Many thanks!

Update: I was able to get the entire plastic piece out. Is it critical to replace this? Does it affect the seal? Thanks.

They're just guides. But, I would replace them, especially on the pass side so you don't damage the new seal when installing the shaft.
