Hi all, thanks in advance for your replies.
I am going to use a dc-dc charger for my dual battery setup because the "house" battery is an AGM deep cycle and regular charging of these batteries from the alternator shortens the life of the battery. So it seems dc to dc chargers are the way to go.
I want to mount the charger under the hood in the engine compartment on the firewall or some other good location.
The Renogy dc-dc chargers are economical compared to some other products out there (e.g., Redarc brand). The Renogy are reported to work well.
Does anyone have experience mounting this dc-dc charger under the hood? I'd rather not mount it inside the car.
