Good day,
I have a power station in both my tow vehicle (truck cap) and also one in my off grid trailer (front fridge/battery box). Was hoping to install a Bluetti Charger 1 to serve both units, controlled by a 1-2-off switch (good for 12-48v). I already have (fused) 4 gauge wire from battery to rear of truck bed to power an air compressor.
I could run the same gauge to the trailer and put the charger there, but that leaves the truck power station unloved.
Don’t really want 2 charger units (the simultaneous draw would be too much on my alternator anyhow), so looking to compromise on the setup and run a line from the charger in the truck bed (smartcap storage bin) to the trailer, instead. It would be higher voltage so losses should be less than the former option, if memory serves.
Is this alright practice? Foresee any issues??
Thanks!
