Delorme PN use in Sweden

My goal is to go to Sweden (my second home) and travel, do some dispersed camping and see new things and visit some old friends. I would love to travel with a gps and plan some routes before we go and while were there. I am in the market for a program that will work with my beloved Delorme that has topo maps of Sweden.

A couple thoughts - first I would check and see if Sweden has any GIS data available, then you could use XMap and the PN with that data. It may cost you $99 to upgrade to XMap, but that may be cheap compared to other alternatives.

Second thought is to order some detailed paper maps, scan them, and import using the image registration tool...

third option is get map software for Sweden and use the PN as a GPS puck signal source...

Can you elaborate on this? I thought the only way to add custom maps to the PN was to buy XMap

Correct - I meant the XMap upgrade would have to apply to the first 2... oops
