how bad are we talking? like smaller dents or did you land on it while out on the trail? Pics would also be helpful.

I got a quote from the dealer for replacing the tank. Around 900.

I picked up a tank in perfect condition from a local junk yard, WITH a skid plate, both for $150.00.

Did the swap myself.

If its not real bad Pull the sender and pump and stick a piece of hardwood in there and pound it out.

I have a first gen and with a body lift I have lift the tank to get it ups some for this reason Just really trying to decide if I want a body lift on it. It clears 33's now so no lift required for anything other then tank being raised raising the drive train to gain some break over clearance on the transfer case.

I've heard of using air pressure to take the dents out. I'd research that approach a lot though!

Sounds like something to look into right there.

I've heard of using compressed air too, but I've also heard of people splitting the tank at the seam doing that if they're not very careful. Like Grim said, use a piece of wood and bang it out from the inside
