The Chrysler "Mopar Underground" design team showed a Power Wagon concept at the recent Jeep Safari in Moab. The concept included a 6.7L Cummins diesel under the hood, strengthened axles, and 40 inch tall tires.

I guess if you have 650 lb-ft of torque under your right foot you don't have to worry about regearing the axles!

This is just a concept vehicle, no production plans were announced.

A CTD Powerwagon would be awsome. But that would mean a mfg. acutally listens to the consumer.:ylsmoke:

Chrysler concept cars: Rubicon (2 & 4 door), Prowler, Crossfire, PT Cruiser, 2009 Challenger, and others.

All the car companies have concepts that don't go to production; but Chrysler has quite a few that have gone to production. This diesel Power Wagon might also; but I suspect with a bit smaller tire (from the factory).

It does look yummy.:D

I was expecting them to roll it on Potato Salad as they did quite a few trips up.

It did benefit from the tire size and wheel base

Don't these idiots realize diesel is approaching $ 4.75 per gallon and never going down again. We need fuel efficent vehicles not giant hogs. My Dodge 1 ton is parked unless I need to tow my boat or haul something.

Funny, I'd think that thing would be next to impossible to roll on PSH... LWB, Diesel "slow smoothness" and throttle modulation, 40" tires. If you did roll it you'd have to be drunk and mentaly challenged. Wait, that's not fair to mentaly challenged people.

Don't know how I missed that earlier but I love it. Sure, I can't stand the fuel prices as the next bloke, but it'd still be more efficient that what I got now.
