Diesel Swap?

Is anybody familiar with any Montero Diesel swaps? I'm thinking that if you were able to source a diesel from say a JDM Montero that was a factory diesel it would be a very straightforward swap. So, does anyone know anybody else who has done it?

2.5L or 2.8L TDI should be easy to source from Western Canada. One concern is the steering shaft to turbo clearance when installing a motor from a RHD into an LHD vehicle. These engines have loads of electronic components and ancillary equipment to go along with the motor.

My 2.8L Pajero has numerous electric cooling fans (intercooler, tranny cooler, engine oil cooler and the normal electric radiator fan) also as mentioned numerous coolers. The two pajeros can be found with a 5 spd easier than one out of a 4 door.

Not sure what tranny or tcase options there are out there but I do know the factory t-case gearing is hardly worth writing home about. There are 3.15:1 kits out there from the land down under.
