Do 2F FJ60 just have a bit of valve train tap?

So 1984 - 200800mi current

I adjusted the valves at 19800mi and made a big difference, I rebuild the exhaust side as I had a big exhaust leak now that this is fixed I can actually hear a slight tap up in the top end.

The truck runs great, has lots of power after carb and intake & exhaust side gone through 3-4 months back. It's not a huge tap but I can hear it when I pull it into closed area. Is this just a pretty normal with the FJ60 ??

My current plan is to do a engine flush right before next oil change, and re-adjust valves to see if this corrects it. My next guess would be lifter or a push rod.

Can the lifters be pulled by removing valve cover and side cover, if I do it if probably just replace them all while I'm in there. But didn't know if this can be done on the 2F with side over removed.

I'm currently running Shell 15w-40 with a ZDDP additive.

Thanks for any insight

Also what are you guys getting on the oil press guage, the factory one really doesn't have a marked area for normal area.

A good running 2f sounds kind of like a sewing machine when the valves are adjusted properly and everything is working right/ No real taps, just kind of even sound.

Have you visited IH8MUD yet? Probably the best Land Cruiser site for info and help.
