Do you think a 2014 GMC Savannah G2500 is a good vehicle to convert and live in?

I was planning on buying a 2014 GMC Savannah G2500, converting it into a stealth camper, living in it and traveling around the country in it. Here is a link which shows what the van looks like: http://www.thorobredchevrolet.com/VehicleDetails/used-2014-GMC-Savana-G2500-Chandler-AZ/2515490703

It's just that there are so many vans to choose from and I'm not sure how this one compares to others. Would a Chevy Express or Econoline be better? Also, I was wondering how much the cargo space in this van has compares to the other vans.

The newer vans with raised roof (Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter, Nissan NV, Ram Promaster) all offer more interior volume, plus give the ability to stand up inside the vehicle. They are all considerably more expensive, as well. You can add a popup roof or a roof extension to a van like the Express or E-Series if need be.

The Express has been used by many up fitters over the years. See www.roadtrek.com and www.sportsmobile.com for examples and ideas. Or you can keep it simple. A bedroll, a camp chair, a simple table, a Coleman stove and some cooking utensils, a bucket to wash up in, and you're ready to roll.

Yeah keep it simple and it leaves you with much more interior space.

Look at it as a rolling hard sided tent
