Trying to figure out the factory wiring harness for the trailer and also such things as where is the fuse panel located? I found one in the engine bay but it only has numbers on it  Would like to check the fuses first (KISS) my brain is already damaged enough with the move back to Colorado at least I have a kick *** van to live in seeing how the realtor can't seem to find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.:sombrero:

*** FOUND the interior and under hood fuse panel and diagram but not so lucky as for it to be just a fuse, go figure. What do I do next?? Would running a hot jumper be the easiest solution? I do not foresee towing with the van after the trip west.

Check eBay. I bought all my factory shop manuals including wiring diagrams for my 2006 E350 pretty cheap. Barry

What are you trying to figure out? Trailer brakes? Just the light wiring? Are you doing the wiring? Do you have the factory trailer plug and its not working?

I remember my Dad and I went to the Autozone website one time for help on a Scout and they had some useful information...that was a few years ago so I'm not sure if it still that way.

When I was very broke in college I went to the library and surprisingly found a manual.

Like said above, go to amazon and buy exactly what you need. Get it shipped overnight and have a hard copy. This will be beneficail in many ways:
1)This way you can keep notes in the book that you can reference in the future. I have notes in my F-150 Chilton book that I wrote maybe 2-3 years ago that I have referenced more than once.
2) In the future if something goes wrong or you need to fix something on the trail you can reference it and everything will be at your finger tips
3) If a Zombie Apocalpyse happens and Ipads and computers dont work...you will be able to fix it when nobody else can!

Good Luck

This is what I am working with; It looks like it came factory wired for the Trailer then the Trailer Brake was added? Not getting any power to the rear plug via test light diagnosis, have not gone any further not sure what to do next? I did find a schematic for the 2 fuse boxes the inside fuses are fine have not looked at the engine fuses yet.

Thanks everyone, I got power to the plug and lights on but the PO has the wiring plug from the trailer messed up, when the brakes get applied the lights get dim not bright and when the turn signal is on either right or left both flash like hazards.

Success, my neighbors dad came and got me straightened out!!! Thank god, my brain hurts just looking at those GD wiring diagrams:drool: We have lights next I will tackle the brakes, but was much more concerned with at least having lights. Pretty sure the brakes just need the wiring spliced back together on the driver side front axle, but WTFDIKA :sombrero (the answer; not much)
