I want to take Dixie riding with us... anyone know of a product of back pack type where she can ride strapped to me?

Taller dog owners may want our new 'BlueLux' version, which pairs our BlueLux Stallion, a carrier for people about 5'6" - 6'6", with a dog seat that will fit slightly larger dogs!
• Fits small dogs, up to 26 lbs.
• Control straps fine-tune load distribution between shoulders and hips, allowing you to ease weight on your back.
• Sternum strap distributes the load and eliminates under-the-arm pressure.
• 1" thick shoulder straps & hip belt have sturdy foam to cushion load and absorb shock.
• Padded, mesh backband provides cool back support for carrier.
• Five-point safety harness holds dog in securely, and clips to collar
• Water-resistant 480 cu. in. underseat pocket.
• Tubular aluminum loading stand opens out for stability, folds back when in use.
• Weighs only 4 lbs. 10 oz.
• The dog seat is easily removable without tools, is machine washable, and can be quickly re-installed.
Price: $299.00
Color: Denim Blue

They're cheapest bag is $199

Leash tied to the seat post? Off-road trailer? Basket up front, ET style?

:D

That pack is spendy! Hopefully, she won't do her business in there...

Dave, There are quite a few options for you and Dixie. Google "Pet Backpack Carrier", if you have not, and there is several different types. Forgive me if you already had something specific in mind and have done it already. Give us a bit more info on the style your seeking?
Here is a couple of ideas:

I've seen a lot of people biking with their dogs in one of those kid trailers, like this:

They come around on craigslist pretty frequently.

When I first saw this thread I thought you guys were looking for a back pack for the dog to wear. You know the kind that carries their food and water. All I thought was you had finally lost it. That dog isn't gonna carry anything. I do agree though I think shes good just riding around and napping on the sofa in the back.
