Downloading tracks from Lowrance Baja 540c

I am having trouble downloading usable files from my Baja 540c. The only way I can get a usable track is to save it to the memory card as soon as I complete the trail, without any other routes/tracks in the local memory.

I realize this is vague, but anyone else having similar problems?

I'm using a similar unit, a Lowrance 3500C.

Press Menu, press Menu, go down to System Setup. Press ENT. Go down to Transfer My Data, press ENT. You should have two options - transfer from or to unit.

I checked your manual online, and it's the same procedure as mine. If you have your booklet, it's on page 58.

Have you successfully read one of your downloads with multiple trails?

Every time I download with more than one trail, I cannot read the data in the Lowrance software or other map software like ExpertGPS.

Since ive never done it, What file does it output onto the card for the tracks? I'd like to find a program for my mac that can read it.

It transfers a .USR file. What was interesting about my problem is the only track it would download was a track I loaded on it. After I deleted that track, I was finally able to download the track I wanted.

I am going to revisit this problem this weekend. I like to keep track of the trails I have been on. I put them on a map and load a picture into a database I created. If I do not get this working right, I will have to wheel with a computer to make sure I get what I want.
