I found this today while cruising the net at a 4x4 retailers site and i figured id pass it on to the guys here. Its something to look into and ill defenitly be measuring my spare tire area to see if itll fit.

Only bummer for some, not me, is its diesel only.

Looks good but $$$$$$

$1268 to the door plus you need to fabricate mounting straps. If I was going to put one in a van I think I would go and see the Off Road Racing guys and get an alloy one made or the Transfer Flow from Sportsmobile. Then you can keep your spare tire space.

Ford does have a 55 gallon tank that fits in the back end of the cab/chassis E Series. I am not sure if it could be shoehorned into an EB.

Just as a point of reference. A local guy quoted me $450 to build an alloy tank for the E350 van. Baffled, ribbed bottom and 1/4" aluminum. That was with mounting straps.

As far as i know the transfer flow cost more and sportsmobile HAS to install it. The price them jumps up significantly.

Making some mounting straps would be easy. Depending on the room, it might be possible to us the ujoint rear skid system and simple make straps up and over to hold the tank to it.

A custom tank is possible and ive yet to price it out. Your guy at $450 seems like a sweet deal. Others might not be as lucky.
