E350 4.6 to 5.4 swap

Hey Guys,

So I tried using the search function but didn't have much luck. After doing some research online all I found on this was F150s that were swapping and didn't see any vans doing it. It appeared that the wiring harness from the 4.6 would still work with the 5.4 but was hoping someone on here would have more information about doing it on a van.

Has anyone or does anyone know if you can just drop a 5.4l v8 in the 4.6l v8s spot?

No real information on the 4.6 to 5.4, but something to check. Comparing the wiring on the 6.0psd from the truck to van, while all the control boxes are the same, all the mounting locations are different. So a lot of the wiring looks the same, but the cable lengths are very different. Some are very different like the FICM loom, others just have an extension harness like the GPCM. So unless you are getting a 5.4 from a van and with the harness you may be tracking a lot of stuff down. You might want to start by comparing part# on the ford microfiche site.
