E350 lift/brakes upgrade order

Just bought 2001 Chinook Concourse on Ford E350 chassis with two-wheel drive and DRW. Stock brakes fine, sort of, but would like to upgrade brakes and put on lift. For brakes looking at Power Stop Extreme and possibly Action Van or Weldtec 4" - 6" lift.

Can I get brakes first then lift, or is it better to get lift then see what brakes to get?

Thanks

I’d determine which company you’re going to lift with and go from there. I don’t see any reason you can’t upgrade brakes first, but I’d hate to see you upgrade your brakes and then have to sell them because they’re not compatible with your lifted rig.

The problem is you’re much to far away for me to buy all the used upgraded parts off for a song.

@ujoint uses newer 4wd axles for many builds which he fits with stronger brakes. I’ve not seen if they’re an option to use with 2WD.

I recall that Weldtech has the option of switching to newer style radius arms... which could be useful if newer have more brake options.

If you are close to someone doing a 4x4 conversion they may gave you the complete front end for very cheap. Good brake pads are IMHO the best bang for your buck. I like Hawk.

Good idea's thanks, before spending alot on brakes I'll see if I go lift or full 4x4 conversion and let builder guide decision, this way I only pay for brakes once.
